CORE PILLARS PROGRAM

Journal of Hope has created mindfulness educational programming, with a focus on self-awareness, literacy, and social skills.  It provides students with a language to understand and navigate the complexities of human emotions while learning lifelong coping and management skills to help them succeed in life.  Journal of Hope offers students an opportunity to build core pillars on a solid foundation to enhance their experience in the real world.

6 CORE PILLARS

Core Pillars

JOH is a community where young people can unlock their imaginations and safely explore their feelings through the power of journaling. Our 8-week programs consist of weekly 45-60 minute sessions that align with the fall, winter, and spring academic calendar. Every “season” contains new material that covers Journal of Hope's core pillars.

Fall

The fall session focuses on the Core Pillars of Role Models and Game Changer. 


You can expect to learn how to identify a role model, journal a plan to achieve the goals that will have the most impact on your life and propel you to become a game-changer.  Finding your tribe and writing all the steps for success will help you find the path of your true passion and purpose.

Winter

The winter session focuses on the Core Pillars of Relationship and Happy & Healthy Habits.


You can expect to learn how to communicate your wants, needs, and dreams effectively to others and how to sustain relationships with happy and healthy habits. Staying on track, measuring your success, and highlighting worthy relationships is a key skill that is critical to your success in life.

Spring

The spring session focuses on the Core Pillars of Gratitude and Roots. 


You can expect to learn key ways to sustain  a successful gratitude practice and reacquaint yourself to the people that have paved the way for you to be. This provides a sense of belonging to one’s culture, strengthening ancestral bonds and appreciation for life.
